As a new graduate, you may think having a Linkedin profile is irrelevant and of no use to you. Research shows that 90% of the top 100 companies use Linkedin along with other social media outlets when looking to hire new staff. It is also one the first places recruiters go to when looking for candidates. They may be looking at your profile and considering you for a job without you contacting them first.
Just like with your CV, if you start your Linkedin profile early in your career it will be easy to add to it as your career develops.
And remember, proof read and spell check before you submit your profile.
